“Taking dogs in Innsbruck taxis remains an adventure,” translated from “Mitnahme von Hunden in Innsbrucker Taxis bleibt ein Aufreger,” by Michael Domanig, , August 8, 2019 (thanks to ):

Innsbruck – Even after weeks, Gabriele Jandrasits of Innsbruck still has a great deal of anger and incomprehension. Before leaving for vacation, she wanted to pre-order a taxi to the airport – taking her little dog, a Beagle Jack Russell hybrid, in an aircraft-friendly transport cage. But even though she had called the previous evening, she had been told by the radio taxi office that they could not guarantee transportation for the next morning. As a reason, she was told that most drivers would refuse to take dogs for reasons of faith. After that, she was referred directly to a taxi number – they then assured the advance order, including dog transport.
