Summary:

One of the three members who has been indefinitely banned from Exeter Mosque has spoken out to deny accusations being made against them. Last week the mosque announced on social media it had made the ‘difficult decision’ to ban three members of its Muslim community due to ‘unacceptable behaviour’ and ‘malicious actions’. The cultural centre in York Road said the harassment and intimidation of some individuals over a prolonged period time has cost it immense time, money and people resources. However, one of the banned members claims the mosque did not give them an opportunity to defend themselves and believes the decision was taken after one of the members 'exposed' alleged links to al-Qaeda.
