“It is alleged that Coun Derek Bullock, who represents Hulton ward on Bolton Council , posted an article from anti-Muslim activist Robert Spencer’s ‘JihadWatch’ on Facebook.”
Here again we see, as we always see, an establishment outlet uncritically repeating Leftist/Islamic supremacist talking points. It is not “anti-Muslim” to oppose jihad violence and Sharia oppression. If it were, it would have been “anti-German” to oppose Nazism.
Anyway, the Manchester Evening News doesn’t dare specify which Jihad Watch article the hapless Bullock shared. This is for two reasons:
A spokesperson for the Conservative Party told the JC: “This matter is under investigation. Our complaints process is rightly a confidential one but there are a wide range of sanctions to challenge and change behaviour, including conditions to undertake training, periods of suspension and expulsion, and these are applied on a case-by-case basis.”
A LONDON-based Islamic group has targeted Pendle candidate Andrew Stephenson as part of a social media campaign to oust 14 former Tory MPs in marginal seats. The Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPACUK) claims the 14 are ‘Islamophobic’ and supporters of Israel but provides no evidence for the assertion.
A growing body of “born-again” Muslims are driving social changes that also have an economic impact, encouraging everything from Muslim-targeted housing to Shariah banking.
Conservative Islamic groups were largely repressed during the 32-year rule of strongman Suharto, but since his downfall in 1998, they have emerged as a growing force, although officially, Indonesia remains secular.
There is no place for Sharia Courts in the UK and Muslim women should be given the same protection as any other women, an MP has warned. Shipley MP Philip Davies urged Prime Minister Theresa May to act to stop the parallel Muslim legal system in the UK and protect vulnerable women. He said: “Last year I attended a meeting in the House of Lords organised by the wonderful crossbench Peer and Human Rights campaigner Baroness Cox, at which three very brave women told us harrowing tales of how they have been treated and discriminated against by Sharia councils.
