Where could he have gotten the idea to do this? “Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not believe” (Qur’an 8:55). Here’s what he is accused of,” Financial Express, February 26, 2018:
Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are a recurring impetus for Muslim mob violence, and a pretext by which the lives of numerous Christians and other non-Muslims have been destroyed. Yet no one in the global “human rights community” appears to be in the least bit concerned. They are probably too busy hunting for the next instance of “Islamophobia” to be concerned about small matters like this.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the UK, with the number of Muslims almost doubling in the last few years from 1.5 million in 2001 to 2.71 million in the latest census, 2011. A small but increasing number of people are also choosing to leave the religion and many say doing so has led them to be rejected by their family and friends and - in some cases - threatened with violence. Benjamin Zand spoke to ex-Muslims.
A young British-Pakistani woman reportedly was raped by her husband and left fearing for her and her children’s lives after a Sharia court forced to her reveal her address and to try and get back with him. "Lubna," which is not her real name, had already obtained a legal divorce through the British courts from her violent husband, but after her mother was pressured by the Muslim community in which they lived in London, she was forced to seek a Sharia divorce as well. First the clerics tried to persuade her to attempt a reconciliation with her abusive husband.
Thousands of ex-Muslims in Britain are living in fear of violent revenge for abandoning the Islamic faith while others are afraid to admit they no longer believe, a support group for ex-Muslims has said. Maryam Namazie, founder of the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain, described a “tsunami of atheism” in Muslim communities and urged that more needs to be done to recognise the dangers often faced by those who choose to renounce their faith.
A popular Arabic-language newspaper attacked Morocco's Christian activists for their faith and ended with the message: the "Koran requires the killing of apostates." — Morocco.
Muhammad and the imam tracked down the boy and attacked him again. When a passerby saw the violence and contacted police, "instead of protecting the teenager from his attackers, [police] arrested and booked him into prison on blasphemy charges." Hours later, the imam and "a mob of more than 300 Muslim fundamentalists surrounded the prison, and called for a public lynching of Stephen." — Pakistan.
Sweden decided to deport a female Iranian convert to Christianity. When the convert, Aideen Strandsson, pleaded that in Iran she could face the death penalty as an apostate, Swedish officials told her, "it's not our problem if you decided to become a Christian, and it's your problem." Meanwhile, Sweden continues accepting Muslim refugees.
In the name of "fighting terrorism," Bangladesh made changes to a law that forced approximately 200 Christian organizations to shut down.
William had just returned home to north Sinai when masked militants came for him at his corner shop at dusk. They shot him in the head, dragged his body outside and, screaming “apostate”, beat his corpse in the street. The Christian shopkeeper had fled the town of Arish months earlier after seven Copts had been shot by jihadists.
Areas of Bradford, England, are No Go Zones for certain ethnic groups and the city is “heading toward disaster,” councillors have warned, citing attacks on a synagogue and white businesses in ‘Asian’ areas. Bradford Council’s Corporate Overview and Scrutiny Committee chairman Arshad Hussain slammed ethnic segregation and failed integration, and blamed political correctness for making the situation worse. Too many people are “scar
I’m A Celebrity star Amir Khan has been sent death threats after sharing a photograph of his Christmas decorations. The devout Muslim posted the picture on his social media pages, explaining he had put up a Christmas tree for his daughter Lamaisah whilst she was sleeping. He captioned the image: “While everyone’s asleep, daddy put the Christmas tree up.
The chief inspector of schools has accused hard-left activists and religious extremists of trying to stop her clampdown on illegal Muslim schools with a campaign of intimidation.
Amanda Spielman revealed that one of Ofsted’s regional offices has been forced to take additional security measures after inspectors were repeatedly sent extreme Islamic literature. She has also been targeted and received one threatening email claiming that hardline Islamists know where she lives, after Ofsted won a court case against an Islamic school that segregated girls from boys.
A family have been forced to flee their home under armed police guard amid fears for their safety after suffering what they say is eight years of persecution for converting from Islam to Christianity. Calendar first told of father-of-six Nissar Hussain's story over a year ago when he was beaten up in an attack outside his Bradford home which left him with two broken bones. Today police proved an armed escort as the family collected their belongings from the house. The Hussain's say police have told them there was a credible threat to their lives. Jon Hill reports.
Pfanderfilms has chosen to put this video up in order to show what can happen to apostates from Islam down at Speaker's Corner, here in London. Last Sunday (four days after Khalid Masood killed 4 innocent people just a few miles away from Speaker's Corner, using his car and a knife), Christopher, a convert from Islam to Christianity, was shoved and pushed off of his ladder because he challenged the authority of Allah and of Muhammad while standing on the ladder. Speaker's Corner is one of the last places on earth where we can say these things freely.
Faced with recurring attacks by Muslim gangs, Jews in the northwestern German city of Bochum have decided to stop wearing the kippah, the traditional Jewish skullcap that identifies them as Jews in public.
According to the local German broadcaster Radio Bochum, members of the community are “routinely faced with insults on public streets when they are recognized as Jews.” The news outlet identified the perpetrators as “Muslim youths.”
All sane people should be against terrorism yet many on the left seem to think it is racist to be against terrorism. Richard Inman an ex soldier and one of the speakers at the event was accused of ‘making disturbing comments about Islam.’ Hello? Islam itself is disturbing. There was no mention anywhere, online or in any msm of the three apostates who were speaking at the event, myself included.
One of those ex-Muslims feels he needs to wear a bullet-proof vest. That is the level of threat we are talking about here.
LONDON — Thousands of Muslims on Saturday fought among themselves and clashed with police during a march to demand that Britain change its blasphemy laws to allow them to challenge the novel "The Satanic Verses" in court. Police said 84 people were arrested and six police officers were injured during the march, which erupted in a scuffle before the Parliament building. An estimated 20,000 demonstrators waved banners denouncing author Salman Rushdie and shouted slogans such as "Rushdie must die!" as they began their march in Hyde Park.
Novelist Salman Rushdie has criticized protests against the US-made anti-Islam film in various Muslim countries and said that he is not bothered about new threats to his life in the wake of the controversy.
From Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten's cartoon(2005) depicting the Prophet Mohammed as a terrorist with a bomb in 2005 to Charlie Hebdo and Texas shootings(2015), we look at how the cartoons row has developed.
And among some of Britain's urban Muslims - nearly half of whom were born in the UK and are under 24 - there's a belief that leaving Islam is a sin and can even be punished by death. An investigation for the BBC has found evidence of young people suffering threats, intimidation, being ostracised by their communities and, in some cases, encountering serious physical abuse when they told their families they were no longer Muslims. There are also local councils that seem to have little awareness of the issue or any policy on how to protect these vulnerable young people.
A young woman originally from Oldham, who is set to attend Newcastle University, offered up the opinion, based on fact, that Islamic terrorism has its roots in the texts of the Koran. Because she did this, she was contacted by a police officer from Northumbria Police who threatened the lady, Jonaya English of ‘The Insurgents’ You Tube channel, with having her place at Newcastle University removed.
Authorities from the predominantly Muslim Republic of Chechnya, an autonomous province in Russia, have threatened parents of gay children, warning them, “Either you kill them, or we we will,” reports France24, citing testimony from one of the victims of alleged concentration camps for homosexuals operated by the local government.
Needless to say, none of this is true. Nowhere has Heather Mac Donald suggested that black people or any other type of person has "no right to exist". The accusation is levelled without evidence. But as with all anti-free-speech activists today, the line is blurred not merely between actual words and violence, but between wholly imagined words and violence.
But what Holland at no point mentioned was why he had not gone to film in another city which – mistakenly or otherwise – is far more important in Islam: Mecca. The reason is that Holland is not a Muslim and so is not only unable to film in Mecca but also is not allowed to go there.
‘The British Muslim community will not allow Channel 4 to distort our faith and our history.’
Is that a threat? It doesn’t seem a very moderate way of responding to an interesting programme. He concludes:
‘The Ramadhan Foundation calls on Channel 4 to apologise for this programme, withdraw it from online viewing and also order an immediate inquiry into why this was allowed to be broadcast. How many Muslims Scholars, community leaders were given a copy of this programme before transmission? Whether historic facts in relation to Islam were verified by the presenter and who his sources were.’
Gosh! Did Channel 4 know that they had to pass their programmes by ‘community leaders’? Who will censor programmes for the rest of us?
A new group has been launched at the House of Lords to campaign for greater recognition of the threat posed by Islamic Sharia law. Sharia Watch UK says it wants to highlight the impact of Islamism in Britain and campaign against the prevalence of Sharia tribunals, particularly where it relates to women's rights. VoR's Tim Ecott spoke to Anne Marie Waters, spokesperson for Sharia Watch, and to Aina Khan, a solicitor in London who specialises in applying Sharia law within the English legal system.
Apostasy is not just something that scandalises people in far off lands. Harriet Alexander hears the story of a British woman whose life was turned upside down when she left Islam - echoing the plight of Meriam Ibrahim, who awaits a death sentence in Sudan for the same "crime".
Three more bloggers were accused of blasphemy on Friday in an Islamabad anti-terrorism court, while elsewhere in the city hundreds of security forces prevented a radical cleric from holding a protest to condemn another five bloggers, who were earlier charged with insulting Islam an offense punishable by death in this Islamic country.
Teachers at a primary school in Sydney, Australia have been threatened with beheading and other violence from young Islamic students, prompting one of them to quit her job. Students as young as those in Year 5, according to the Daily Telegraph, are making the violent threats and pressuring others to read the Koran at Punchbowl Public School in Sydney. Documents given to the newspaper allege that three staff members have taken a leave of absence owing to stress, received counselling and been awarded compensation after bullying from Islamic students.
Now Hardcash has made a follow-up programme for Channel 4's Dispatches, to be broadcast next month, in which a female reporter attends prayer meetings at an important British mosque which claims to be dedicated to moderation and dialogue with other faiths.
The programme-makers, who are not naming the mosque at this stage, say she secretly filmed shocking sermons given to the women-only congregation in which female preachers recited extremist and intolerant beliefs.
Counter-terror police are investigating a new alleged Islamist “Trojan Horse” plot to control a state school, with claims the head teacher was attacked and intimidated by Muslim parents, including a threat to blow up her car. Almost all the students at Clarksfield Primary School in Oldham are of Pakistani Muslim heritage, and some parents are said to have ordered female teachers to cover their heads. One governor, whose sibling is a convicted terrorist, hosted “Islamic teaching sessions” at the school.
A letter containing a threat to behead Tasmanian senator Jacqui Lambie unless she helps implement Sharia law in Australia has sparked a security assessment at the outspoken independent's office. The letter was received at the senator's Burnie office last week and included threats to behead the former Palmer United Party member unless she converted to Islam and helped implement Sharia law by March 18. It was accompanied by graphic images of a man being beheaded, which prompted the senator's office to treat the threats seriously. "By the powers invested in me by Allah, I sentence you to death
When Trish O’Donnell took the headship of Clarksfield Primary School — a vast Edwardian building rising amid the rooftops of east Oldham — one council officer told her that she had inherited the town’s “poisoned chalice”. That was, if anything, an understatement.
The girl, named only as Leonie, heads up the gang of six migrants who are purported to have carried out several Sharia-inspired attacks across the European capital of Vienna. Leonie, 15, was among the six Mu
